Mircea Abrudean, President of the Romanian Senate, addressed the citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the eve of the parliamentary elections on September 28, emphasizing that they must vote and choose a European future.
He said, “Today, Bessarabian citizens decide the path they will take in the coming years. Sometimes it may seem that a single vote changes nothing, but every choice builds the future. Every voice heard and every ballot cast testifies to our belief in freedom, stability, and democracy.”
He reminded citizens that Romania actively supports the Republic of Moldova on its European path.
“Romania stands alongside the Republic of Moldova, fully supporting its European journey—a path of prosperity, peace, and respect for every citizen. We live in difficult times, and threats to security and democracy are real, but we use the vote as our peaceful and powerful weapon. Through it, we defend our values, our independence, and the future of our children. Let us unite our voices and send a strong signal that the Republic of Moldova has the courage to choose a European future. You now have the opportunity to write the future—write it well.”
Moldova will open 23 polling stations in Romania for the parliamentary elections on September 28, 2025.
