Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban has avoided confirming whether he intends to give up his post as mayor in favor of becoming a member of Parliament. When asked about his future plans, Ceban said that “all political decisions will be announced when they are made.”
Following the September 28 parliamentary elections, the ALTERNATIVA Electoral Bloc secured eight seats in the new Parliament, with Ion Ceban heading the party’s list of candidates.
During the election campaign, Ceban repeatedly stated that he planned to remain at the helm of Chisinau City Hall after the elections.
