Acting Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi said Moldova stands ready and willing to share its European integration experience with countries in Asia and the Caucasus. Speaking on the sidelines of the interregional security and connectivity ministers’ meeting in Luxembourg, Popsoi highlighted Moldova’s gratitude for international support.

He also addressed hybrid attacks by the Kremlin, including cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns aimed at undermining Moldova’s European path.

Popsoi stated: “Moldova delivered significant results in the recent elections. Citizens clearly expressed where they want their future—and that of their children—to be. No disinformation campaign or cyberattack from the Kremlin has succeeded in diverting us from the legitimate desire of Moldovan society to join the European Union.

We now rely on the support of EU member states to move to the next stage, open negotiation clusters, and advance based on a merit-based system. We are also glad to discuss with our partners from Central Asia and the Caucasus and share the lessons we have learned. We are happy to contribute so that other friends and partners do not have to go through what we went through. Closer coordination, stronger cooperation, and building bridges with Central Asian and Caucasus countries, with Moldova as a candidate country, and with Eastern Partnership states, are essential. We are pleased to share our own experience.”

The acting minister also expressed gratitude for the European Union and its member states’ support, highlighting assistance from Kaja Kallas and Marta Kos in strengthening Moldova’s institutions.
