Chisinau currently hosts five Youth Centers, with the first one, located in the Ciocana sector, opened in 2019 following significant investments. Situated at 3/2 Petru Zadnipru Street, the center serves around 5,000 beneficiaries each month. Its premises include a youth square equipped with urban furniture, a gazebo, a stage, ping pong tables, and an outdoor activity area.
The second center opened in June 2022 in the Buiucani sector, within “La Izvor” Park, in the former building of the lifeguard station. Shortly after, in July 2022, the Riscani Youth Center was inaugurated at 7B Miron Costin Street, in the renovated former civil status office — restored with support from the Chisinau City Hall and UNICEF Moldova.
Also in 2022, the main headquarters of the Chisinau Youth Center opened at 90 Varlaam Street, in the former building of the General Directorate of Employment. The municipality invested in repairs and furnishing to transform the previously deteriorated spaces into a modern youth hub.
The most recent center was inaugurated in April 2023 in the Botanica sector, at 37/1 Dacia Boulevard, in the former Botanica civil status office. The project included major interior renovations and upgrades to the engineering systems to ensure a comfortable environment for all users.
The Youth Center network has also expanded to the suburbs — Gratiesti, Ciorescu, Cricova, Singera, and Truseni. Each year, over 50,000 young people benefit from the activities offered. All centers are fully equipped with multifunctional spaces where youth aged 14–35 can access free personal development programs, leisure activities, volunteering opportunities, career guidance, psychological counseling, and other initiatives. Refugee youth from Ukraine also participate in the programs.
Center volunteers contribute to organizing major city events, including concerts, festivals, sports competitions, debate clubs, and awareness campaigns for young people.
Petru Grecu serves as the Director of the Chisinau Youth Center. All centers are open from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10:00 and 19:00.
