The Royal House of Romania continues to support the Republic of Moldova in its efforts toward European integration and in advancing projects aimed at modernizing the country. The message was conveyed on Thursday, 13 November, during a meeting between Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu.

The officials highlighted the strong bond of friendship between the two countries and the successful cooperation within joint projects in the fields of economy, public administration, education, culture, and sustainable development.

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu expressed gratitude for Romania’s consistent backing of the Republic of Moldova.

“Moldova continues to rely on the support of the Royal House of Romania, including in European capitals, for our aspirations toward EU integration. Citizens on both sides of the Prut benefit when we build bridges together in education, research, culture, healthcare, and in the social or humanitarian fields,” the Prime Minister said.

He also underlined the success of the Moldovan–Romanian Economic Forum held in Chișinău under the patronage of the Royal House. The event gathered more than 500 entrepreneurs from both countries, as well as local officials and business associations, providing a platform for exchanging ideas, launching investment partnerships, and developing joint projects in digitalization, advanced agriculture, and the green economy.

The Prime Minister further expressed appreciation for the Royal House’s educational initiatives in Moldova, including the annual “King Michael” and “Queen Anne” scholarships awarded to students from the Technical University of Moldova and the State University of Moldova, as well as the Royal House’s patronage of the “King Michael I” Theoretical High School in Cimiseni, Criuleni district.

Additionally, the Royal House of Romania hosts an annual event dedicated to the Republic of Moldova at Elisabeta Palace, aimed at strengthening connections between people on both sides of the Prut River.
