One year after proving the quality of its products and becoming the first domestic producer authorized to export Moldovan eggs to the European Union, George Standard is taking a major step to expand its business. The meat, egg, and semi-finished product manufacturer from Edinet district has announced its direct entry into the Romanian market.

After completing several stages of verification and meeting the quality standards required by the European market, the poultry farm received approval to sell its eggs in Romania’s Auchan supermarket chain. This milestone represents a significant achievement for the local producer, which attributes its success to the quality of its products in both domestic and international markets.

Founder Gheorghe Birladean explains, “We feed our birds natural, enriched feed, adding clover, chamomile, and calendula flowers. We avoid additives and synthetic pigments. We use a high corn content, which gives the yolk a natural, intense color that artificial dyes cannot reproduce. The color, taste, and texture of our eggs are completely natural, setting George Standard products apart from other brands in the Romanian market.”

“Quality and reputation come first, then business growth and volume”

The company produces a wide range of products, including eggs, chicken meat, semi-finished meat products, sausages, fish, and dairy products. George Standard is already making inroads into the Romanian market with its high-quality eggs and aims to reach the European market, which counts over 400 million consumers.

Founder Gheorghe Birladean emphasizes, “We focus on quality and reputation first, then business growth and volume. We want to increase production and strengthen our position as a European producer. We will ensure that we never compromise on quality or consistency. We want every buyer, when picking up our eggs, to say: ‘This comes from the Republic of Moldova and is truly high-quality,’ just like people say about products Made in Japan or Made in Germany.”
