Prime Minister Munteanu visits Ungheni: Meetings with local authorities and inspection of projects in the region

Alexandru Munteanu is paying a working visit today, November 27, to Ungheni district — his first visit since becoming Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.

The Prime Minister will attend the ceremony where authorities will receive 14 transport units designed to improve urban mobility and passenger comfort. Afterwards, he will travel to the village of Zagarancea to inspect the progress of a major regional infrastructure project — the construction of the Ungheni–Ungheni bridge.

His agenda also includes visits to two successful businesses in Ungheni district — a textile factory and a winery — where he will meet with local entrepreneurs. In addition, Alexandru Munteanu will meet with the mayors of localities in Ungheni district, as well as with citizens, to discuss key issues and development opportunities for the region.

Ungheni district comprises 33 municipalities and has a population of 75,804 residents, making it the second largest district in the country after Orhei.
