The mayor of Taraclia, Veaceslav Lupov, announced that he is resigning from his position. He made the message public through an address to the city’s residents.

“Dear friends, respected residents of Taraclia! I am resigning! I am making a difficult decision, but under the current conditions, it is the only honest one possible. The authorities do not want the city to develop. They do not need a prosperous Taraclia and are doing everything to prevent our team from working effectively,” Lupov said.

He also declared that once the “Sandu regime falls,” he and his team will return and will continue to build Moldovan towns and villages together with citizens.

We remind you that on Tuesday, December 2, Tatiana Cociu announced that she was resigning as mayor of Orhei. She said that she and her colleagues receive threats of arrest simply because they work for the people, and that the residents of the city and the country face pressure and fines.
