Anti-corruption prosecutors requested that Vlad Plahotniuc testify as a witness in the “Kuliok” case, in which they accuse Igor Dodon. They submitted the request on Wednesday during a Supreme Court of Justice session, but the judges did not examine it because the session was postponed.

At the end of November, the court restarted the case from scratch after it formed a new panel of judges: Ghenadie Eremciuc, Stella Bleşceaga, and Vladislav Gribincea, reports TVR Moldova.

Previously, the court examined the case with judges Ghenadie Eremciuc, Ion Malanciuc, and Stella Bleşceaga until June 2025. Malanciuc received an appointment to the Constitutional Court, and the court held no sessions for five months. The Supreme Court later replaced him with Vladislav Gribincea, forcing the case to restart from the beginning.

The Supreme Court has held the “Kuliok” case since October 2022, and the panel composition has changed at least seven times, but the court continues examining the case.

Prosecutors accuse Igor Dodon of soliciting and accepting money from Vlad Plahotniuc to promote Plahotniuc’s interests. The exact amount has not been officially announced, but Vladimir Voronin recently stated it exceeds 800,000 US dollars.
