President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in The Hague, in the context of establishing the International Claims Commission for Ukraine. The head of state said the talks focused on the frontline situation, Ukraine’s resistance to Russian aggression, and international efforts to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine and across Europe.
Maia Sandu reiterated Moldova’s support for all initiatives aimed at securing a just and durable peace, stressing that regional stability and security depend on ending the war and respecting international law.

The two leaders also discussed the European Union accession paths of Moldova and Ukraine. The president emphasized that EU membership will anchor Moldova in a space of peace and stability and will also strengthen Ukraine’s security.
Maia Sandu confirmed that the Republic of Moldova remains committed to working with international partners to build a peaceful, secure, and European future for Moldova, Ukraine, and the entire region.
