Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu compared Igor Dodon’s proposal to have Parliament vote on a resolution supporting Donald Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine to “a fly at plowing” or “a gadfly at plowing.”

Grosu said the Socialist leader should instead propose a resolution addressed to Vladimir Putin, urging him to stop killing people in Ukraine. In the Speaker’s view, Igor Dodon is using such statements to draw attention to himself.

“When people there are talking, in the last hundred meters — and I hope it really is the last hundred meters, because we are all watching — we are waiting for an outcome that must be peace. The cessation of hostilities, so that people stop dying. That’s it,” Grosu said while commenting on Dodon’s proposal.

Earlier on December 29, Igor Dodon announced that the Socialists would propose a parliamentary resolution in support of Donald Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine. Dodon claimed that “the authorities in Moldova are silent” because they are allegedly waiting for “instructions from abroad — from the globalist network and Soros.”
