Moldova holds numerous Guinness World Records that attract global attention through unique achievements in wine, art, and culture. The most famous record belongs to the Milestii Mici winery, which holds the world record for the largest wine collection, with more than 1.5 million bottles stored in 55 kilometers of underground limestone tunnels.

The Cricova winery also ranks at the top, boasting the largest underground wine cellar, which stretches across 120 kilometers of tunnels.

Moldova records extend beyond wine. Petru Costin set a Guinness World Record for the largest collection of horseshoes, expanding it from 3,200 to more than 15,000 items. Olga Buianovskaia created the largest soap bubble, while Ludmila Cuptor produced the largest water painting in the Ebru Art technique in 2025, with support from the Chisinau City Hall.

The country has also drawn attention for unusual statistics, including the highest apple consumption per capita and the highest concentration of automated teller machines.

Other notable records include the Muzeul Bauturilor Tarice, the worlds largest building shaped like a bottle, and sommelier Daniel Frumusachi, who also earned a Guinness World Record and inspired a new generation of local talent.

These achievements show that Moldova is not only a small country in the heart of Europe, but also a surprising global leader in cultural and gastronomic accomplishments.
