President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu is set to visit Munich, Germany, from 13 to 15 February 2026, where she will take part in the Munich Security Conference.
The high-level event will bring together numerous European and international leaders, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, President of the European Investment Bank Nadia Calviño, President of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, as well as other senior officials.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will also attend the conference. Among the expected participants are Russian opposition figure Yulia Navalnaya and Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
Nearly 50 heads of state and government from around the world have already confirmed their participation in the 2026 Munich Security Conference. Key topics on the agenda include global instability, the rules-based international order, European security and defence, the future of transatlantic relations, the revitalisation of multilateralism, competing visions of the global order, regional conflicts, and the security implications of technological advances.
