The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Moldova, resident in Bucharest, Mohammed Abdulghani Khayat, is concluding his diplomatic mandate. On this occasion, the ambassador paid farewell visits to Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi and Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s work and his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. In recognition of his activity, Mohammed Abdulghani Khayat received the Diplomatic Merit Medal, Second Class.

“Your mandate played an important role in bringing our countries closer. We will continue working together to further develop relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the minister said.

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu also thanked the diplomat for his contribution to the development of Moldovan-Saudi relations and wished him success in his future endeavors.

In response, Ambassador Mohammed Abdulghani Khayat said he would maintain close ties with Moldova and continue to promote opportunities for bilateral cooperation. He added that the Republic of Moldova holds a special place in his heart and expressed hope that he would return to the country even after the end of his mandate.
