The court held a new hearing in the “kuliok” case. The prosecution presented a witness via videoconference, Adrian Radu.

Adrian Radu testified that he received the video recordings showing Vlad Plahotniuc and Igor Dodon when Dodon was handed a bag (“kuliok”), which authorities suspect contained around 800,000 euros.

The prosecution asked how many cameras were in the room. Radu said:

“There were three cameras at three angles. One was hidden in an umbrella — I had the impression Dodon noticed it. Another was hidden in a flower, and the third was placed between books, next to the aquarium.”

When asked why he believed Dodon knew he was being filmed, Radu explained:

“Dodon stared at the fish for a long time, but at one point I had the impression that his gaze turned toward one of the cameras, and he looked at it for about five seconds.”

During the February 17 hearing, Igor Dodon stated that he knew he was being filmed.

After Adrian Radu’s testimony, the court began the hearing of Piotr Puscari.

Prosecutor Petru Iarmaliuc requested that the court summon Adrian Radu in person upon his return to Moldova.

“It is the legal responsibility of any summoned witness to appear before the court,” Iarmaliuc explained.
