Oleg Ozerov held talks with Igor Dodon. Images published by Dodon suggest that the meeting took place at the headquarters of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM).

Socialist MPs Bogdan Tirdea and Petru Burduja also attended the meeting. According to Dodon, participants discussed “the prospects of bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation.”

“We reiterated the party’s consistent position on the need to relaunch strategic dialogue with the Russian Federation, including in the energy sector, emphasizing that the current government is blocking this process. At the same time, we noted that in the context of the global energy crisis, which, according to forecasts, will lead to hydrocarbon shortages and significant price increases, the Russian Federation remains a stable supplier of energy at affordable prices,” Dodon stated.

He also said that the talks included plans for a visit by the PSRM leadership to Russia to hold consultations and negotiations at both parliamentary and inter-party levels.
