Chisinau International Airport is experiencing heavy traffic due to the high number of passengers traveling after the Easter holidays. Authorities urge travelers to follow several recommendations to ensure a smooth experience and efficient airport operations.
Officials advise passengers to arrive early—at least three hours before departure—to complete check-in, security screening, and border control without rushing.
Travelers should prepare in advance for security checks. They must place liquids and cosmetics in containers of no more than 100 ml inside a transparent, resealable bag with a maximum capacity of one liter. They should remove large electronic devices such as laptops and tablets from carry-on luggage and avoid packing prohibited items like knives, scissors, or lighters. Wearing comfortable clothing and footwear can also help speed up the process.
Authorities also remind passengers to respect border crossing rules. Travelers should keep valid documents readily accessible, including passports or ID cards and flight tickets, and follow instructions from border police officers and airport staff.
The Border Police encourage everyone to remain patient and respectful toward fellow passengers and staff, helping maintain an efficient flow and a pleasant atmosphere throughout the airport.
