The joint-stock company Moldexpo has announced a new development phase for its complex in Chisinau by putting several plots in the former “Aventura Park” area up for auction. The company plans to attract investments in sports and leisure infrastructure, according to an official statement.

The project forms part of a broader, phased modernization plan that aims to transform Moldexpo into a multifunctional space serving both the community and the business sector, bani.md reports.

“Moldexpo is undergoing a large-scale development and expansion process, which we are implementing through concrete steps. Today we mark an important stage by launching tenders for the development of the Aventura Park area, where we aim to create clear and functional zoning,” said Zinaida Popa.

In the first stage, authorities will auction four main zones: one for building five padel courts, another for pickleball and badminton facilities, a gastronomic area, and a pump track space designed for skateboarding, bicycles, and scooters.

Moldexpo representatives stated that the project builds on the area’s sporting tradition while adapting it to current needs through modern, regulated redevelopment. They plan to fully rehabilitate unused or degraded spaces and integrate the natural landscape into the urban leisure concept.

“We want to preserve the sporting character of the area and develop it in an organized way. We invite economic operators to actively participate in these tenders,” Zinaida Popa added.

In addition to sports facilities, the project also includes a gastronomic component aimed at expanding relaxation and socialization options for visitors.
