Mihai Popsoi discussed the possibility of including the Republic of Moldova on the list of approved travel destinations for Chinese citizens traveling abroad during a meeting in Beijing with Sun Yeli.

Popsoi expressed Moldova’s interest in this initiative, saying it would help develop the national tourism sector and strengthen people-to-people contacts between the two countries. Officials agreed that relevant institutions from both sides would work together to develop tourism routes.

The discussions also focused on cooperation in culture and heritage, particularly cultural exchanges, joint exhibitions, and the digitization of historical heritage. The Moldovan side also expressed interest in learning from China’s experience in restoring monuments and museum collections.

Sun Yeli stated that China remains open to continuing dialogue and implementing new joint projects.
