Marta Kos will visit Chisinau this week. In an interview for TVR Moldova, she announced that her agenda will include strawberry and cherry picking.
She also plans hiking activities with the head of state and several young people. In addition, she will go kayaking on June 5, World Environment Day, on the Nistru River together with Environment Minister Gheorghe Hajder.
“I especially look forward to this visit. I know your country grows many strawberries and cherries, so we will include this in my program. We will pick cherries and strawberries, and we will also go hiking with the president and young people. I will celebrate World Environment Day in your country. Together with the environment minister, we will go kayaking. I have never done that before,” the European Commissioner said.
Marta Kos will make an official visit to Chisinau on June 4–5. She will open the EU–Republic of Moldova Investment Conference and the Moldova Digital Summit. She will also meet Moldovan officials and opposition leaders.
