Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed several decrees on 23 June appointing new ambassadors to represent the country abroad.
Under the decrees, Victor Lapusneanu was appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the Council of Europe.
At the same time, Inga Ionita was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to India.
In a separate decree, Victor Chirila, who currently serves as Moldova’s ambassador to Ukraine, was also appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia. He will carry out the additional mandate concurrently while remaining based in Kyiv.
The decrees will enter into force upon their publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
