President Maia Sandu has officially nominated Vasile Tofan as Moldova’s candidate for the position of prime minister. During the announcement, the head of state outlined the key priorities for the country’s next government.
“The main tasks of this government are to ensure the successful implementation of Moldova’s European integration process, continue strengthening the resilience of state institutions, and restart economic growth,” President Maia Sandu said.
PAS leader Igor Grosu stated that Tofan’s profile aligns with the commitments the Party of Action and Solidarity made to voters and said the nominee will have the party’s full support.
For his part, Vasile Tofan pledged to do “everything in my power” to meet citizens’ expectations and fulfill the responsibilities of the office.
