Moldova will celebrate the 25th edition of National Wine Day on October 3–4, bringing together more than 100 winemakers, wine professionals and visitors in the heart of Chisinau.
The two-day celebration will take place at the Great National Assembly Square and will be dedicated to Moldova’s wine culture, producers and traditions. The 2026 edition will be held under the theme “United by Wine.”
The programme will include a Wine School, where certified sommeliers and wine experts will introduce visitors to the world of wine. Guests will also be able to explore a traditional courtyard featuring local crafts and products, as well as enjoy food and wine pairings inspired by Moldovan flavours.
The event will also feature live music and cultural performances, while participating wineries will present new releases, limited editions and popular Moldovan wines.
The organizers said that National Wine Day has, over 25 editions, become an annual celebration of Moldovan wine and the people who have shaped the country’s wine industry. The event brings together visitors from Moldova and abroad each autumn.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry is an institutional partner of the event. The ministry said its involvement reflects a commitment to strengthening the wine sector and bringing public policy, industry priorities, producers and the wider winemaking community closer together.
“Every glass of wine tells a much bigger story — one of agriculture, investment, craftsmanship, vision and the decisions that shape an entire industry,” the organizers said.
National Wine Day is organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV). The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Ministry of Culture are institutional partners, while maib and Mastercard are main partners and AlcoMarket is the retail partner.
