TikToker Nikolai Lebedev, known online as “Nikoglai,” and his wife have reportedly been detained by law enforcement officers on suspicion of large-scale drug trafficking, allegedly supplying narcotics to teenagers and attacking police officers during the arrest, Pulsmedia.md reports.
Lebedev was reportedly investigated by criminal officers from the Botanica Police Inspectorate as part of a criminal case opened under Article 217/1(4) of Moldova’s Criminal Code, concerning the illegal distribution of drugs, ethnobotanical substances or their analogues on an especially large scale.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, police reportedly searched his home in the commune of Stăuceni. According to the cited source, investigators allegedly found that he had organized a drug-use venue at the property. Several teenagers who followed him on TikTok were reportedly among those who visited the residence and were allegedly invited there to consume narcotics.
During the arrest, Nikoglai allegedly resisted and attacked law enforcement officers, while his wife reportedly fled the scene. Police later detained her after pursuing her.
During the searches, authorities reportedly found two bags containing narcotic substances, drug-grinding devices, electronic scales and other items allegedly intended for preparing, packaging and distributing drugs.
The two suspects were reportedly detained for 72 hours. After appearing before a judge, they were allegedly placed in pre-trial detention for 30 days at Prison No. 13 in Chisinau.
If convicted, the two could face seven to 15 years in prison, as well as a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for a period of two to five years.
The allegations have not been proven in court. The suspects are presumed innocent until a final court ruling.
