Several Moldovan deputies are visiting Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. The group includes Igor Dodon and Bogdan Tirdea from the Socialist Party, as well as Vasile Costiuc and Olga Ursu from the Alternativa bloc.

The Moldovan Parliament’s official website has not published any information about the visit. Socialist Igor Dodon announced his participation in a meeting with the Moldova–Georgia parliamentary friendship group.

“We discussed cooperation and Georgia’s valuable experience in defending national interests, ensuring economic resilience, and preserving traditional values. I emphasized that this represents an example of consistent and pragmatic policy aimed at protecting sovereignty and developing the state,” Dodon wrote on social media.

He added that parliamentarians from both countries agreed to strengthen contacts and expand cooperation through the parliamentary platform.

Igor Grosu told journalists that Dodon first visited Russia and then traveled to Georgia. Grosu said that the PSRM leader initiated the trip, informed him about the invitation, and confirmed that the Parliament would not cover any expenses.

Grosu also stated that PAS deputies declined the invitation because some Georgian politicians had previously made disrespectful remarks about Moldova.

“I regret such a synergy between the Georgian dream and the Moldovan dream. I see that it attracts the Socialists, Democracy at Homeand Alternativa to oligarchic regimes,” Grosu said, noting that these politicians demonstrated their political preferences.
