Whether we speak about educational projects with universities, high schools, schools, and kindergartens, cultural initiatives such as concerts, theater performances, festivals, and book fairs that gathered hundreds of thousands of people, or support for the media and the church, DRRM—under my leadership and alongside my team—has become one of the most respected Romanian institutions on the left bank of the Prut.
Over the years, I have often heard the phrase, ‘This project/event would not have been possible without DRRM’s support,’ which confirmed that we were making a real difference in people’s lives,” stated Adrian Dupu.
In 2024 alone, DRRM funded and supported 99 projects in the Republic of Moldova, with a total value exceeding 17 million MDL. These initiatives focused on infrastructure, culture, spirituality, education, and media.
Last year, the department contributed to organizing the Bookfest fair, the fourth edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) in Chisinau, Romanian Film Days, the Romanian Traditions Festival, and invested in renovating schools, kindergartens, and places of worship. It also brought Romanian theater to districts across Moldova and equipped several university laboratories with essential research and study technology.
DRRM financed 90 projects in Moldova in 2023, while in 2022, it supported 44 initiatives.
