A direct flight to Riga will be launched from Chisinau in 2024. This was announced by Minister of Economy of Moldova Dumitru Alaiba.
According to the official, tickets will go on sale already this week.
“We are continuing negotiations with other airlines as well. There is enough space at the airport,” he wrote on Facebook.
Air Baltic is one of the largest budget airlines in Europe. The company flies short-haul flights, mainly to megacities and resort areas in Europe.
During an official visit to Greece, President Maia Sandu said that a direct flight -“Chisinau-Athens” will also be launched in 2024.
