Airport restrictions extended for another 30 days of limited access

Authorities have extended access restrictions in the airport building for another 30 days. Entry without a travel ticket will not be allowed until September 30, 2024, the Border Police announced. Access to the terminal is permitted only to ticketed and documented passengers, authorized personnel, and aircraft crews.

Starting May 1, 2024, access to the terminal is allowed only to ticketed and documented passengers, authorized personnel, and aircraft crews. The authorities are taking these measures to enhance security.

“Given the busy flight schedule and increased passenger flow during the summer, we urge you to travel responsibly. Please arrive at least three hours before your planned flight to complete the necessary travel formalities and avoid delays,” the Border Police said.

Earlier, Ruslan Galushca, the head of the Border Police, stated that the restrictions are due to the start of the summer season, which increases passenger flow, and the use of the airport as a “destabilization platform” by supporters of Shor.

Every day, about 14,000 crossings occur at the country’s air border.
