Alain Berset, first visit to Chisinau since taking office as Secretary General of the Consiliul Europei

The Secretary General of the Council Europei, Alain Berset, will make his first official visit to the Republic of Moldova after taking office on February 12-13.

During his visit, the European official will meet with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, as well as representatives of civil society and the judiciary.

According to the Consiliul Europei Office in Chisinau, the discussions will focus on key topics, including human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.

Additionally, the Council Europei Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova (2025-2028) will be launched on February 12 as part of the visit.
