An exhibition of Moldovan photographer Vadim Rotari is held in the Netherlands

An exhibition of Moldovan photographer Vadim Rotari is being held in the Netherlands. It presents photos of old stops for public transportation in Moldova.

“I am a photographer originally from Dubasari. At the moment, I am living in the Netherlands. This year, I traveled almost every road in Moldova (both coasts) to collect all the stops in the photo archive. Given the pace of their disappearance, this was my attempt to archive the country’s cultural heritage,” locals.md quoted Rotari as saying.

His project was recently sponsored and selected for an exhibition at SCHREIERSHUISJE in the Dutch city of Schiedam. This is a public exhibition space, which, for the first time, exhibits an international project. The photographer considered it a good sign that this place is a former ferry stop recently transformed into an exhibition area.

According to Vadim Rotari, a local mosaic artist, conducted a master class on mosaic, using Moldovan stops as a basis for the story. Participants made their small mosaic panels using materials (smalt) produced in Moldova.

The photographer also published his works on his Instagram.
