Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), Anca Dragu, received the Excellence Award at Romania’s Excellence Awards Gala—a platform dedicated to honoring leaders who actively contribute to social development.
In her speech, Anca Dragu highlighted the significance of the current stage in Moldova’s European integration journey. She dedicated the award to her colleagues at the NBM and everyone involved in advancing the country’s European path.
“This award belongs to the team at the National Bank of Moldova, which plays a vital role in the European integration process. I also dedicate it to all those supporting this path and contributing to a prosperous and stable future for the Republic of Moldova,” the NBM governor stated.

Dragu reaffirmed the NBM’s commitment to supporting reforms essential for European integration. She emphasized the bank’s strategic role in ensuring economic and financial stability, serving as a key pillar in meeting the economic criteria for EU membership.
“Monetary policy measures and financial stability are crucial for the Republic of Moldova to stay on its European path. The NBM team is fully dedicated to this goal, consistently working to align with European standards and strengthen a modern, resilient financial system,” Dragu noted.
The event was at the Royal Palace in Bucharest, gathering 180 distinguished personalities from multiple countries. It provided a platform to celebrate the joint efforts of leaders from Romania and Moldova in promoting European values and advancing regional economic integration.
