The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged citizens of the Republic of Moldova currently in the United Kingdom to exercise caution as Storm Goretti is expected to affect several regions of the country. The warning follows information provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in London.
According to British meteorological authorities, the storm is forecast to bring very strong wind gusts, heavy rainfall, significant snowfall in some areas, very high coastal waves, and difficult travel conditions. Authorities also warn of possible disruptions to transport and electricity supply.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Moldovan citizens in the United Kingdom to follow official warnings, avoid non essential travel, plan journeys carefully, and comply with the instructions of local authorities and emergency services.
