Attention tourists! Temporary Restrictions in Chisinau During Official Visits of Foreign Dignitaries

The Chisinau City Hall will temporarily restrict access to certain public areas from Saturday, August 23, at 8:00 AM until Sunday, August 31, at 9:00 PM. This measure accompanies the official visits of high-ranking dignitaries from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Poland, and Romania.

During this period, authorities will restrict gatherings, mass demonstrations, road repairs, and tree cutting along the routes of official convoys. Exceptions apply only to pre-approved social and cultural events registered with the City Hall.

The traffic restrictions will affect the following areas and streets:

  • Dacia Boulevard, from Chisinau International Airport to Ciuflea Street
  • Ciuflea Street, from Dacia Boulevard to Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard
  • Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard, from Ciuflea Street to Dimitrie Cantemir Square
  • Marea Adunare Nationala Square
  • Metropolitan Cathedral “Birth of the Lord” Square – Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Public Garden
  • Stephen the Great and Holy Monument
  • Government Headquarters Square, within the perimeter of G. Bănulescu-Bodoni Metropolitan Street – Marii Adunari Naționale Square – A. Pushkin Street
  • A. Pushkin Street, from Bucuresti Street to Columna Street
  • Columna Street, from A. Pushkin Street to Vlaicu Parcalab Street

The General Police Inspectorate and the Chisinau Police Department will maintain public order and inform citizens and legal entities about the restrictions and obligations under this decision.

Reminder: On Saturday, August 23, the Prime Minister of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, will visit Chisinau as part of these official events.
