Authorities announced a bomb alert on the evening of Thursday, February 26, at Eugen Doga International Airport in Chisinau.
The Border Police of the Republic of Moldova confirmed that officers are responding to a bomb threat. Border police evacuated passengers and airport staff from the premises.
Specialized units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova arrived at the scene and are conducting security checks.
Authorities temporarily suspended passenger check in procedures and warned that scheduled flights may face delays or changes.
Officials advised travelers with flights scheduled for today to verify their flight status on the airport online board.
