Bulgaria Launches Educational Exchange Program for Students in Moldova

During an official visit to Taraclia on Friday, Bulgarian Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov announced the launch of a new educational exchange program aimed at students from the region. Starting next year, 300 to 400 children from Taraclia will travel annually to Bulgaria to explore their roots, history, and cultural heritage.

“We will initiate a comprehensive educational exchange program through which hundreds of Bulgarian children from the Republic of Moldova can visit Bulgaria. It’s important for these young people to discover their roots, understand our shared history, and feel part of a vibrant and profound culture, said Prime Minister Jeliazkov.

Developed in partnership with Moldovan authorities, the initiative will include cultural workshops, Bulgarian language courses, thematic visits, and exchanges with Bulgarian youth. The program aims to enhance the cultural identity of the Bulgarian community in Taraclia and promote closer ties between the younger generations of both countries.
