Several countries have seen a significant increase in cereals and sunflower oil imports from the Republic of Moldova. We are talking about Egypt, Portugal, Jordan, Jordan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Tunisia, National Bureau of Statistics data show.
Exports also increased in Turkey (+39.9%), Poland (+39.4%), the United States (1.7 times), Egypt (2.2 times, due to deliveries of sunflower oil, corn and wheat), Bulgaria (+59.3%), the Czech Republic (+16.9%), Greece (+55.3%), the Netherlands (+30.2%) and Portugal (12.1 times, due to sunflower oil deliveries).
Other notable increases were recorded in Bulgaria (+59.3%), Georgia (+47.0%), Jordan (up 25.4 times due to deliveries of live bovine animals, sunflower oil, and wheat), Vietnam (up 5.7 times due to deliveries of pharmaceuticals and clothing), Malaysia (up 3.4 times on wheat deliveries), Slovakia (+26.5%), Indonesia (up 1.7 times on wheat deliveries), India (up 6.7 times), China (+44.1%), Iraq (+44.2%), Saudi Arabia (+23.0%) and Tunisia (up 18.9 times on wheat deliveries).

These increases helped mitigate the 8.0% decrease in total exports.
