Chisinau International Airport could soon bear the name of the late composer Eugen Doga, following a proposal supported by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Vladimir Bolea. The Ministry plans to initiate the renaming process.
“I support this idea both personally and as a minister. I believe it is an excellent proposal,” Bolea stated during a press conference.
When asked whether the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) would formally propose the renaming, Bolea confirmed: “I am confident that if we start preparing a Government decision and hold public consultations, we will succeed in renaming the airport.”
