Chisinau hosted the third edition of the CinemaHora Forum on December 13 and 14 and brought together representatives of European funding institutions, distribution experts, festival directors, producers, and filmmakers from several European countries. Unlike previous editions that focused on cooperation and co productions, CinemaHora 2025 focused on film distribution, circulation, and promotion, which are key areas for the development of the film industry.

At the opening of the forum, Valentina Iusuphodjaev, Director of the National Cinematography Centre, highlighted the progress of local cinema despite limited resources. She pointed to the mobility of filmmakers, the growth of film festivals, the cash rebate mechanism, and the harmonization of the legislative framework. State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture Andrei Chistol stressed the role of the event in Moldovas European integration process and underlined the importance of dialogue between the film industry and decision makers.

The forum agenda included panel discussions on the distribution market, access to European funds, cultural diplomacy through film, revitalization of film archives, and marketing strategies. The program also featured a pitching session with 17 local film projects. Organizers stated that CinemaHora has strengthened its role as a support platform for Moldovan filmmakers by facilitating access to international expertise and connecting national projects to European networks.
