On Tuesday, August 27, Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu extended a congratulatory message on Moldova’s Independence Day. He emphasized that Romania will continue to lead efforts to strengthen Moldova’s European path, stability, and democratic development.
“I extend my congratulations, along with those of the Romanian Government, to all citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the anniversary of Independence Day. Today, I also congratulated my friend Dorin Recean and assured him that Romania will remain at the forefront of efforts to solidify the European path, stability, and democratic development of the Republic of Moldova, as it has in the past,” Ciolacu wrote on the Government’s Facebook page.
Ciolacu further affirmed Romania’s unwavering support for Moldova’s goal of joining the European Union.

“We share the same language, culture, and history, and we aspire to the same future for the Republic of Moldova: one that is safe, prosperous, democratic, and part of the European family. Additionally, today, August 27, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis delivered a congratulatory message on Moldova’s Independence Day.
