Weightlifter Marin Robu climbed onto the winner’s rostrum at the European Weightlifting Championships after winning one gold and two silvers in the up to 89 kg weight class, IPN reports.
The athlete finished in first place in the snatch event with the result of 173 kg, a performance that brought him the gold medal.
In clean and jerk, Marin Robu achieved a result of 202 kilograms and was ranked second.

With 375 kg in total, the athlete ranked second, winning his second silver medal.
Together with these three medals, the national weightlifting team has won seven medals so far at the European Weightlifting Championships.
The championships are taking place from April 13 to 21 at the Chisinau Arena.
