Constantin Tutu, the kickboxer turned MP by Plahotniuc, is under criminal investigation in Moldova for influence peddling and illicit enrichment. His cases, opened in May 2020 and November 2021, were later merged into a single file currently examined by the Chisinau Court. The latest hearing was scheduled for July 16, 2025, but the court’s website does not specify whether it took place.
In March 2020, while on international wanted lists, Tutu surrendered to Moldovan authorities at the Leuseni border crossing, insisting that the case against him was “political” and illegal, while maintaining his innocence.
