MP Vasile Costiuc from the Democracy at Home Party called on Thursday, during a plenary session, for the early dismissal of the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu.
“We have a draft decision that provides for a declaration of a vote of no confidence and the early dismissal of the Speaker of Parliament. We have more than 40 signatures, so I ask you to put it to a vote. Either you give us a pawn, or we take your queen,” the MP said.
Although Costiuc stated that the initiative had gathered 40 signatures, it was ultimately supported by 37 lawmakers in the plenary session of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
