Four political parties linked to fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor will remain under restricted activity, following a decision by the magistrates to reject their appeals. The ruling concerns the Renaissance, Chance, Force of Alternative, Salvation of Moldova, and Victory parties.
According to Radio Moldova, the court ruled that the first-instance rulings were correct and well-founded. The decision is final, but it does not amount to the dissolution of the parties.
On August 19, the Chisinau Court of Appeal (Center) restricted the activity of the four formations at the request of the Ministry of Justice, which had argued that they were successors of the Shor Party, outlawed in 2023 for acting against the constitutional order.

Previously, parties from the “Victory” bloc, considered successors of the banned Shor Party, were barred from participating in elections.
