The bidding deadline for the international tender to construct two high-performance heating power plants (CET) in Chisinau has been extended at the request of the bidding companies. Applications are now due by 21 February.
The two CETs will provide a total electrical capacity of approximately 55 MW and a thermal output of at least 43 Gcal/h. They will replace the former CET-1, commissioned in 1951, and operate year-round instead of only during the heating season.
The project includes the construction of state-of-the-art installations using modern, flexible, high-efficiency cogeneration technologies. These upgrades aim to increase internal electric power production capacity and enhance the country’s energy security.
