Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov met Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for Europe in the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The officials discussed recent developments in Moldova’s European course and the steps the authorities will take in the coming months.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov noted that the government in Chisinau is counting on the earliest possible adoption of the negotiating framework and the organization of the first intergovernmental conference to mark the opening of accession negotiations officially.
Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov also thanked France for the substantial support it has given our country in recent years, both on the road to European integration and through modernization projects in the economic, energy, infrastructure, and defense fields.

The official mentioned the government’s ambitious reform agenda in Chisinau and assured Minister Jean-Noël Barrot that every effort would continue to be made to maintain the momentum of progress.
