Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov is in Paris this week at the invitation of French EU Minister Benjamin Haddad. The officials discussed Moldova’s progress toward EU membership and the next steps on the European agenda.
Gherasimov highlighted Moldova’s interest in learning from France’s experience in modernizing and strengthening state institutions.
“We discussed the progress and next steps on our European agenda, as well as what we can learn from France’s experience in modernizing and strengthening state institutions,” she stated.

She also emphasized France’s vital support in multiple sectors, calling it “one of Moldova’s best friends and a reliable partner on our path to the EU.”
