Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi thanked Moldovan diplomats in Brussels for their daily efforts to bring Moldova closer to the European Union and to strengthen its place within the European family.
During a meeting with the diplomatic team, Popsoi praised the work of the Republic of Moldova Mission to the European Union, led by Ambassador Daniela Morari. He highlighted the mission’s direct and essential role in managing all aspects of Moldova’s EU integration.
“Our diplomats actively negotiate, prepare complex dossiers, and maintain continuous dialogue with EU institutions and member states to ensure that Moldova’s voice is heard and supported in Brussels,” Popsoi said.

He also acknowledged the work of the Embassy of Moldova in the Kingdom of Belgium. Under the leadership of Ambassador Viorel Cibotaru, the embassy strengthens bilateral ties with Belgium, deepens cooperation with NATO, and promptly assists Moldovan citizens living in the country.
“Thank you for your professionalism and for representing Moldova with integrity every day. You play a crucial role in our path toward a safer and more prosperous Europe,” Popsoi added.
Popșoi visited Brussels on July 14–15, 2025, where he joined the EU Foreign Affairs Council and held talks with foreign ministers from EU member states.
During his visit, he advocated for Moldova’s EU accession agenda, addressed regional security issues, and explored new opportunities to enhance cooperation with the EU, particularly in resilience against hybrid threats.
