Diaspora Relations Office launches “DOR de traditii” program for first time

The Diaspora Relations Office (BRD) has launched the “DOR de Traditii” program, a pilot project under the Moldovan government, offering diaspora children a unique chance to explore the country’s winter customs and traditions. The inaugural edition will be a winter camp from December 23-28, 2024, bringing together 30 diaspora children.

According to BRD, the program aims to strengthen the connection between diaspora children and Moldova’s authentic values and traditions, ensuring the transmission of national heritage across generations.

“DOR de Traditii” was developed in response to growing interest within the diaspora to maintain emotional ties with the Republic of Moldova and preserve its national values. Through this initiative, young participants will rediscover the essence of the country’s traditions.
