Direct air connection with the USA: Moldova signed an agreement on “open skies”

Moldova and the US signed an agreement on “open skies”. According to the document, now both countries will have the opportunity to establish direct flights and strengthen cooperation and diplomatic relations.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova, Lilia Dabizha, and the US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Richard Verma.

“The signing of the agreement is an eloquent example of productive cooperation between the United States and Moldova based on shared values. This agreement is of great economic, social, and strategic importance and will further strengthen bilateral cooperation,” said Liliana Dabizha at the signing ceremony.

Richard Verma noted the importance of the agreement between the countries.

“Today, connections are being established between Moldova and the United States in the field of air traffic, which means more convenient and affordable airline services,” he added.

Recall that Moldova has signed similar agreements with 20 countries, including Romania and Turkey.
