Do we possess an invisible essence that traverses between worlds and across time? It employs a metaphysical approach to movement and dancer interaction, known as deep listening practice.

SKY EARTH is designed as an interactive experience with the audience, whose presence influences and defines the encounter.

Condrita Forest Festival

Last year, Moldova launched a historic reforestation initiative—the largest in the country’s history. The goal is to mobilize all sectors—government, the public, NGOs, and businesses—to plant or rehabilitate over 150,000 hectares of forest within the next decade. Launched in autumn 2023, the National Reforestation Program is crucial as Moldova faces significant climate impacts compared to other European countries. While the EU’s average forest coverage is over 37%, Moldova’s is only 11%.

The challenge includes finding suitable planting sites, securing labor, and acquiring quality seedlings. Currently, seedlings with protected roots offer a high survival rate of over 85% but must be planted manually.

The Environmental Journalists Association spearheads an initiative to purchase protected-root seedlings from the Gritcan Family’s greenhouse. These seedlings, including species like oak and ash, will be planted by volunteers and partners.

The Forest Festival on September 14 at the Presidential Residence in Condrita will support this effort. While the event is free, attendees are encouraged to purchase a tree at the entrance or via Iticket.

Details about the festival: Access is free, with public transportation provided. For more information, visit the event page.

Organized by the Environmental Journalists Association/Ecopresa and the Ecological Society “Biotica,” the festival is part of the National Reforestation Program, supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau, and in partnership with the Presidency of Moldova, the Ministry of Environment, UNDP Moldova, and other organizations.
